International Journal of Nursing Studies Rosemary Crow Award

Applications are now invited for the 2010 and 2011 awards.

The award is for a paper reporting original research or a review paper (systematic review, literature review or methodological review) which is judged by the EANS Board to have made the most valuable contribution to the knowledge base of professional nursing and/or midwifery.

Deadlines:

2010 award – 30th September 2010
2011 award – 1st September 2011

Eligibility

The award (first prize of 300 Euros and a second prize of 200 Euros) is open to three categories of EANS members:

a) Students currently enrolled on the summer school Programme.

b) Those students who have successfully completed the EANS Summer School Programme within the previous 36 months of the application date.

c) Those who have not completed the EANS Summer School Programme, but who have been admitted to the Academy as a Scholar on the basis of their previous academic record and achievements, again, within the previous 36 months of the application date.

From Framework to Implementation

Friday 18th to Sunday 20th June 2010, Peter Chalk Centre, University of Exeter, UK

The masterclass was coordinated by University of Exeter’s Clinical Training and Mood Disorders Centre, in collaboration with the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry and led by Professor Paul Dieppe, core author of the MRC Framework document.

This workshop was attended by clinicians, researchers and educators who wished to incorporate complex interventions concepts into their practice. Lecture material is downloadable below

Elections

The 2010 Elections for Board members were held during the spring of 2010. Following three nominations received, Jan Hammers was elected unopposed to a second term as EANS Vice-President. Theo van Achterberg and Adelaida Zabalegui were elected unopposed as Board members to serve on the Board of EANS for the next three years.

Elections for vacant posts in 2011 will be held in spring 2011.
