Fellows

Fellows are individual nurses* with an established career in nursing research who have made significant contributions to the advancement of nursing science in Europe** through scholarship and research. Potential Fellows will have an acknowledged track record and will have achieved a considerable breadth and depth of achievement in publications and grant funded research. Applications will ONLY be accepted using the application form in the link below.Fellows are required to: 

  1. Normally be a qualified nurse.*
  2. Have made a substantial contribution to the advancement of nursing science in Europe through scholarship and research.
  3. Have published frequently in scientific journals listed in citation indexes.

 

 
 

  • When assessing Criteria 2 and 3  the EANS Membership Committee will require evidence of the following:

      a)       An ‘h-index’ of at least 5 as calculated on Scopus or Web of Knowledge – see http://help.scopus.com/robo/projects/schelp/h_hirschgraph.htm

b) Published a minimum of five papers in scientific journals listed in citation indices as first author, corresponding author or final author. These papers must be ‘data based’ i.e. report findings from primary or secondary research, or reviews with analytical synthesis which provide new insights.   

    

c) A statement of a maximum of 1,000 words from the applicant which sets out their contribution to the development of nursing science in Europe.
